Flash fiction poems

Flash fiction is the art of creating a scene or telling a story in the least number of words. Here are two poems originally written for a flash fiction competition. I hope that each creates a compelling image in 50 words or less.

Espionage

We met at eight.
He was an
Exquisite
Example of masculinity.
Perfect teeth.
A diamond at each cuff
And a single red rose
Blossoming at his lapel
Like a bruise.
Almost a shame to shoot him
I thought
As I slipped away
And the sirens drew closer.
Almost.

The Party

Lamps sheathed in red silk
Shielding the glare of indiscreet
Eyes.
Plastic cups -
over-filled - are
Thrust
Into eager hands.
She places a cigarette between
Deep
Red
Lips.
Exotic liquids, dutifully swallowed.
Social Lubrication.
Stench of sweat and latex linger.
Innocence
Mislaid among the beer bottles.

  2. These are safe. I feel that poetry is much better in short ejaculations. Alot better than prolonged endless dissapointing orgasms
